Join the presenters in sharing their successes and failures of building a winning culture while taking on a new-to-them journey of running and growing a 50 year old manufacturing company. The presentation will cover restoring an established culture through Leadership, Direction, Empowerment, and Compassion, and highlight how Lean philosophy aids in the journey.

Leadership - What does it mean to lead in a waythat builds a winning culture? What Leanprinciples can be applied to lead effectively?

Direction - How does a well-defined and focused direction impact culture? What can Hoshin-Kanri do for an organization, and how should it be established and distributed?

Empowerment - What does it actually look like to empower employees? Should it be comfortable?

Compassion - Why are we doing all of this?

 
 

ABOUT THE COMPANY

Woodland Supply was established in 1965 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The founders started as a home builder, which eventually turned into them manufacturing their own products as they demanded high quality. Fast forward to present day, Woodland manufacturers stair parts, mouldings, and interior doors, and is complimented by an installation division and retail store.

Grew up in Winnipeg, hasworked farming and construction beforeentering the manufacturing world. Steve has adegree in Supply Chain Management from the Uof M

Andrew Enns, Production Manager, Woodland Supply & Manufacturing Ltd

Andrew grew up in Winnipeg,and finish carpentry has been a major part ofhis life for as long as he can remember.
